Success Factors for this Role
Engineering Skills: Ability to place top priorities on quality and exceeding clients’ expectations when preparing construction documents for infrastructure improvements on residential or commercial land developments. This includes all facets of managing, assisting, and overseeing the design, reporting, and planning. These technical skills require cross collaboration with one’s social abilities to also be highly involved in directing project work while navigating deadlines, budgets, quality control, and other technical roles of existing staff.
Communication: Effectively and positively ensure that others (colleagues, landowners, clients, etc.) are well informed in a timely fashion. Ability to present the firm’s work, updates, and reports in a confident and clear manner. Can deliver results while continually seeking opportunities that increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. Exercises sound judgement in matters of complexity, as well as client confidentiality.
Attention to Detail: Our work requires precision. Prepares reports, exhibits and estimates—Takes and maintains accurate notes and records to ensure that assigned projects are completed within the guidelines established by local, state, and federal laws, regulations, standards, and/or policies.

Minimum Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer Licensed in the State of Wisconsin
- At Least 10 years of experience in the design of site improvements for commercial, government, healthcare, or higher education project types.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil Design 3D, HydroCAD
- Requires a willingness to work some night meetings
- Good understanding of Financial Management; experience in reviewing and authorizing budgets of other project managers
- Effective written and verbal communication is necessary and independent judgement is essential
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
